Reimagining Faith: A Journey Toward Shalom (online)

Questions about violence, justice, the Bible, salvation, hell, the cross, evangelism, and the mission of God can feel deeply disorienting — sometimes liberating, sometimes painful, and oftentimes emotionally and spiritually costly. Changing the Narrative: Recovering the Christian Story of Liberation, Justice, and Holistic Peace for All
The Christian story has too often been narrated in terms of empire, domination, exclusion, and violence. This opening panel - held on the International Day of Peace - will kick off our 12 Days of Peace event with a substantive conversation about how the dominant narratives we’ve inherited have been shaped by empire and systems of power. And most importantly, we'll discuss what it might look like to reclaim the Christian narrative around the story and way of Jesus.
