Africa Peace
Catalyst Network

Across Africa, Peace Catalyst International is honored to walk alongside a growing and diverse network of peacebuilders working to heal divisions, confront injustice, and foster flourishing communities in the wake of colonial legacies and contemporary conflict.

These peacebuilders and organizations are engaging in creative, context-specific approaches to peacebuilding—from conflict transformation training and trauma healing, to peace education, decolonial theological reflection, and community development. While their work differs in focus and methodology, they are united by a commitment to holistic peace rooted in justice, reconciliation, and restoration.

Training, Networking, and a Shared Commitment to Peace

In October 2025, PCI and our African peacebuilding partners are co-hosting a gathering in Arusha, Tanzania, in conjunction with the Vineyard School of Ministry. This gathering will bring together leaders from across Tanzania, around the Great Lakes Region of Africa, and as far as Nigeria and South Africa.

PCI team members and partner organizations are already cultivating spaces for mutual learning, networking, and collaboration across various regions of Africa. This gathering will build on that ongoing work, with plans for mentorship, project incubation, and storytelling that extends the impact far beyond the few days in Arusha.

Our vision is for this to become an annual rhythm—hosting future gatherings in different regions of Africa to deepen relational networks, share learnings, and support African leaders to equip emerging peacebuilders across the continent.

Why This Matters

The wounds of colonialism continue to shape African societies, churches, and systems of knowledge. These peacebuilders are engaging in courageous work to heal those wounds, reclaim dignity, and reimagine a future of peace, resilience, and flourishing.

HELP US MAKE THIS POSSIBLE

We are seeking scholarship and sponsorship support to make this training and networking gathering accessible to peacebuilders from diverse economic backgrounds. Your support will remove financial barriers for local peacebuilders, allowing young leaders, trauma survivors, and frontline community workers to attend, learn, and lead change in their regions.

These funds will help support local workshops and initiatives that emerge from these gatherings—empowering grassroots peacebuilders in their communities.

Join us in nurturing peace, justice, and reconciliation across Africa.
