SCOTT

SOTOMAYOR

CHRISTIAN PEACEBUILDING TRAINER/EDUCATOR | NORTHERN IRELAND

Scott is deeply passionate about promoting peacebuilding globally, having strategic relationships in Northern Ireland, India, Lebanon, Palestine, and the USA. As a teacher and trainer, Scott is passionate about peace theology and highlighting the Jesus way.

Originally from the USA, Scott spent 2016-2026 living and working with YWAM An Cuan in Northern Ireland, spending most of his time on Christian formation and discipleship. In 2021, he stepped into the role of Director to continue to develop An Cuan's legacy of reconciliation rooted in local and global peacebuilding. In that role, he and his team developed a seminar entitled The Foundations for Christian Peacebuilding, covering themes like justice, shalom, reconciliation and forgiveness while equipping participants with a deeper understanding of the Bible, its redemptive trajectory, and how it reveals God's mission of restoration for the world.

In early 2027, Scott, his wife Yasmine, and their two children, Mateo and Linnea, will be relocating from Northern Ireland to Yasmine's home country of Sweden.

When he isn't teaching, mentoring, or collaborating with peace practitioners across the globe, Scott is busy experimenting with a new recipe, playing a board game and trying to be the best father and husband he can be.

Your financial support allows Scott to continue leading this vital work, equipping the next generation of Christian peacebuilders to bridge divides and heal communities.
