Jason spent 20 years in the US Army stationed in many parts of the world, including two combat deployments to Afghanistan. He is a graduate student at St. Stephen’s University, focusing on Religion, Peace, and Justice, paying particular attention to nonviolence, moral injury, reconciliation, and the role of religious communities in addressing militarism and violence.

Since retiring from the military, Jason has been working in the Middle East, particularly in southern Lebanon, helping the local church with farming projects, trauma healing, and discipleship.

He has been married to his wife, Cori, for over 28 years and has four children and a granddaughter.
