Jennie Telfer

MOBILIZER & CONFLICT TRANSFORMATION TRAINER | KOREA

Born in the USA but raised in Europe and Africa, Jennie promotes solidarity, mutuality, and creative nonviolence as antidotes to the diverse forms of violence and supremacy in our world today. She is passionate about bridging divisions through understanding & connection and weaving a world-wide, beloved community in which we can all flourish.

In cooperation with Korean and Sudanese communities, Jennie mobilizes people for practical solidarity across lines of difference through peace education, advocacy, and humanitarian engagement.

In South Korea, Jennie works alongside Koreans with a vision for reconciliation and peace on the Korean Peninsula. She has closely partnered with the Catholic Institute of Northeast Asia Peace in hosting past Catholic Korea Peace Forums and participates in many faith-based, educational events to expand openness toward DPRK (North Korea) through deeper understanding and humanization of its people. Jennie facilitates trainings on principles of peacebuilding & conflict transformation and welcomes friends of Korea from around the globe to come learn in Korea and stand in solidarity with the Korean people in their pursuit of peace.

Recognizing the United States’ role in the unended war on the Korean Peninsula, Jennie is an active member of the US-based, Korea Peace Now Grassroots Network. She facilitates a monthly Korea Peace Study Group online and mobilizes American friends for advocacy to end the Korean War and lift the US travel ban to the DPRK.

Since 2024, Jennie has also collaborated with Trauma Rescue Aid (TRAID), a grassroots, Sudanese refugee-led peacebuilding organization providing mental & physical health care, food support, and other forms of tangible aid to Sudanese families who fled the war in Sudan.
