Help New Afghan Arrivals to Boise, Idaho

With the pullout of the U.S. military in Afghanistan and the Taliban takeover, 83,000 Afghans had to evacuate Afghanistan and come to the United States through the U.S. refugee resettlement apparatus, with the vast majority coming in under the special” humanitarian parolee” designation. Of the 83,000 Afghans who came to the United States, more than 600 came to Boise, Idaho.

In partnership with Glocal Community Partners, a Boise non-profit organization that works directly with refugees, we are working to welcome and help these newly arriving Afghan families successfully integrate into life in the U.S.A.

Boise is currently experiencing a shortage of affordable housing options; therefore, the time needed to find affordable housing will be much longer than usual and temporary housing will be needed until permanent housing can be obtained. Your gift will help provide temporary housing, hygiene kits, and household supplies for newly arriving Afghan families.

A donation of $75 equals the cost of a household goods kit.

A donation of $100 equals one month of utility costs for an apartment.

A donation of any amount can help subsidize the rental cost of an apartment.
