Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimage is a global network of 40 + autonomous Christian groups (including Peace Catalyst) who are engaging in a peaceful and prayerful show of solidarity with the people of Gaza by walking the length of the Gaza strip in cities around the world during Lent.

What we’re calling and praying for:

  1. An enduring and sustained ceasefire

  2. An immediate flow of life-saving food, water, aid, fuel, and humanitarian assistance

  3. A release of all hostages – both the Israeli hostages held by Hamas and the Palestinian hostages held in the Israeli prison system

  4. An end of occupation so a just peace can begin

WHERE WE’LL BE WALKING

The full walk is 22 miles, the length families had to travel from Gaza City in the north to Rafah in the south. There is also a 6-mile option, equaling the width of Gaza. Participants can walk as much of the route as they like, in any way they like—walking, rolling, or riding.

Walkers will meet for a short devotional at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 at the terminus of the Russell Bike Path at Road 95A and Russell Blvd and walk toward Central Park (6.6 miles), then join the Davis Bike Loop and eventually return to Central Park (22 miles total).

The entirety of the walk will be on bike paths and pedestrian walkways.

If you are interested in joining us, either as a walker or as a support person (to drop off or pick up walkers or provide other help), please contact Jill Van Zanten at jillvz@sbcglobal.net.
